SDSU (San Diego State University) Tuition Per Year

San Diego State University has different tuition and fee payment plans for various programs. Students can avail all needed information regarding programs and tuition fee cost from the student financial center at 619-594-5200 during Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (PST). The different program tuition fee per year include the following:
  • Basic Tuition & Fees Schedule: The basic tuition fee depends on the student's program and campus. The fee is also determined by the program status i.e. (full or part time).
  • Non-Resident Tuition & Fees: Out-of-state and foreign students are called non-residents. The program fee for the non-resident students is charged at the rate of of $396 per unit of coursework. Payment must be made prior to start of class work. Students can apply for installment plans.
  • Professional Program Fees: The professional programs include the graduate students enrolled in the Fowler College of Business. The professional program fee is charged at a rate of $270 per unit of course work. The total fee has to be paid in full prior to the first day of instruction. The University has no installment plans for the professional program fee payment.
  • Fee Payment Coupons: All tuition fee payments made through postage mail must be accompanied by a Fee Payment Coupon. The fee payment coupon carries information that helps the account section to understand the purpose of payment.

SDSU Tuition Payment Plan

SDSU has devised multiple payment plans and options for students to easily and securely pay payments for different programs and courses. The multiple payments options are mentioned below:
Via e-Check: e-Check or electronic check is kind of online payment. The payment is made by using the checking account and routing numbers.

SDSU Tuition Third Party Billing

San Diego state university accepts payments under third party billing program also. The third party students are those candidates who are sponsored by an agency or trust for payment of tuition and fees. The sponsoring agency can be a Military agencies like (Veterans Affairs, Army, Navy, etc.). The payment can also be made by an educational trust. International Governmental sponsors include embassies, SACM, and cultural organizations. Students can avail assistance regarding third party billing at sasthirdparty@sdsu.edu. The billing letter must include the following details.
  • Student’s full name
  • Student Red ID number
  • Sponsorship term and date of validity
  • The authorized fees covered by the sponsorship per term
  • Invoice billing mailing address and email address
  • 3rd Party billing contact information
  • Purchase Order or specific agency identification number

Check Eligibility Criteria for Availing Third Party Billing

To pay the tuition and course fees through the third party billing program, a student must fulfill the below criteria.
  • The students must be 25 years of age or younger.
  • Students lived in foster care for at least 12 consecutive months after reaching 10 years of age.
  • Students living in a current foster care placement order by the juvenile court.
  • Candidate lived under a foster care placement order by the juvenile court upon reaching 18 years of age.
  • Students who are adopted, or entered guardianship, from foster care.
  • Completes and submits the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
