Substitute Application Process
Prospective candidates are afforded the opportunity to apply for the position of substitute teacher through the portal of the "Arlington Independent School District." Online staff development training, encompassing modules such as Classroom Management, Teaching Strategies, Being Prepared and Professional, Special Education, etc., is provided free of charge for a duration of 8 to 10 hours. Substitutes who are hired are required to successfully complete this training within 60 days from the date of their hiring.
