410-260-8540The Annapolis Service Center of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is an authorized department responsible for managing license and registration services for boating, fishing, hunting, parks, and related activities. The processing and issuance of licenses, permits, and passports for hunting, fishing, parking, and other natural resources are overseen by this service center. The services provided by the DNR Annapolis Service Center include the following:
Boat Registration
The DNR Annapolis Service Center offers both online and offline registration services for boats and marine vessels. Vessels titled by the US Coast Guard are accepted by the State of Maryland.
Sport Fishing & Crabbing Licenses
The service center provides an online portal called "Compass" for convenient application of fishing and crabbing licenses. Only individuals aged 18 and above who meet eligibility criteria can apply for these licenses and permits.
Wildlife & Heritage Service Licenses & Permits
The service center processes application forms and issues permits and licenses for wildlife and plant activities, hunting, wildlife damage, and other heritage-related services. For assistance with these permits and licenses, contact
