Happy Hour service center is a social organization committed to work for the betterment of disable persons. The organization has devised various programs that aids the disabled persons to live a normal life and contribute towards the community. The programs are aimed to help disabled individuals to develop life skills, social and emotional support. The programs of Happy Hour service center include the following:
Social Services: The social services of the organizations are meant to provide caring, safe and proactive environment to people suffering from developmental disability. The social service programs include pre-vocational training, and workshop procedures. The programs also include essential training in life, social and work skills. The supportive services are designed to help disable individuals to live and work normally in community.
Residential Programs: The happy hour social organization offers group home and supported living arrangements to eligible members. The 24x7 residential support services include seven 4-bedroom group homes which offer 24-hour supervision along with emergency transportation. The semi-independent apartments are specially designed for disable persons with community room, courtyard, and a laundry facility.
Eligibility Criteria to Receive Happy Hour Services
In order to receive services by the Happy hour service center, an individual must meet the below mentioned criteria.
  1. Disable persons who are psychological evaluation with an IQ of 70 or below.
  2. A person diagnosed with an intellectual disability before his/her 18th birthday.
  3. An individual diagnosed by Medical Doctor or a Licensed Psychologist for developmental disability.

Community Employment Program by Happy Hour Service Center

The Community Employment Program operated by the social organization are aimed to develop necessary job skills among the disable persons to get employment. The employment center provides job training to get regular jobs and receive support services. The service center hold job development classes five days a week. The classes are meant to teach individuals skills like complete job applications, social skills and interview training. The other benefits include computer skills, apply for jobs online, learn vocational skills, and work on typing skills. The happy hours service center also organizes various business field trips for disabled individuals.
