MetroCard not Returned from Bus Farebox/AutoGate

Form needs to be filled out at www.efixmetrocard.mtaNYCt.info/StuckInFarebox.aspx. In case NYC Transit Subway AutoGate or by a NYC Transit Bus is not returning back, provide the following information:
For AutoGate Claims:

3.Date and Time of Incident
4.Type of MetroCard (Pay-Per-Ride or Unlimited Ride)

MetroCard Vending Machine Problem

To sort out problems related to the vending machine like cash is dispensed, using New MetroCard, not returning money to new card, etc. contact service team at 718-330-1234 or dial 511 during 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Overcharged MetroCard

To claim overcharged MetroCard, one has to fill out a form of MetroCard eFIX given at the path. Filled form must contain the following details:
1. 10 number MetroCard serial number.
2. Date & Time of the Overcharged amount.
3. Name of the bus route and station.
4. Amount debited deducted at the incident time.

Expired MetroCard Customer Claims Service Center

Individuals can transfer the remaining amount to the new MetroCard within two years from the expiration date. Within the first year, the balance can be transferred to the new card using MetroCard Vending Machine. In the second year, a claim can be sent to the following address MetroCard Customer Claims, 30 Livingston Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. The postage-paid envelope can be requested at the station booth.
Unlimited Ride MetroCards: Please note that refunds or transfer amounts cannot be made for the unlimited ride Metrocards.

Student MetroCard Claims

Student MetroCard claims can be made by using the following ways:
  • Stolen/Lost Card Services: In case student card is lost or stolen the school administration must be confirmed about the same immediately to deactivate the old card and issue the replaced card
  • Card not Working: If the card is not working contact the concerned station agent or bus driver for all possible support or return back the card to the school in order to get the replacement

The student MetroCrad is valid for one year and is reissued by the school for every semester.
