Comprehensive services and programs, encompassing employment opportunities, housing assistance, and various other provisions, are facilitated by the center. For the welfare of military veterans and their families, the Veteran Multi Service Center (VMC) extends the following services and facilities:
Veteran Employment
Through the Veteran Employment Program, operating nationwide via the Department of Labor Grant and Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program, coaching sessions, resume preparation, background checks, job referral programs, and vocational training are offered to unemployed veterans.
Veterans Housing Assistance with Supportive Services
Low-income veterans and families receive housing assistance and supportive services. VMC's SSVF (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) program, accredited by CARF, provides counseling, financial planning, and housing assistance to homeless or at-risk veteran families.
Permanent Supportive Housing Programs
VMC administers three housing programs in Philadelphia: HUD 64 & Freedom’s Gate (Shelter Plus Care Program), Veterans Home Project / Housing Program, and Rapid Re-Housing (Bridge Program), catering to veterans and low-income individuals with disabilities.
Women's Veterans Center
Catering specifically to female veterans, the Women's Veterans Center (WVC) offers amenities such as socializing spaces, clothing stores, computer learning resources, and library facilities. Additionally, the WVC provides childcare facilities, fitness clubs, and other amenities tailored to the needs of women veterans.
