Housing and other opportunities are also offered to migrant workers by the council. Various programs for the family and children of migrant workers are operated by the non-profit organization to meet all their needs.
Education Program
Family literacy services are provided by the council to parents and children up to the age of eight. Services for parents include parenting skills, intergenerational literacy, and early childhood education experiences. Housing Services
Night shelters are provided to migrant workers in the emergency housing scheme by the council. The program also offers the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to ensure affordable housing. Legal assistance is also provided to secure shelter.Adult Education Services
Community education centers are operated by the Migrant Council to provide basic skills and computer literacy classes to adult migrants. Special grants are also offered to acquire technology skills from institutions.Family Services
