BMW CPO Warranty Transfer
BMW CPO (Certified Pre Owned) warranty can be transferred upon fulfillment of the following conditions. Further, a form is also required to be filled out at the time of transfer which is available at the concerned center.
- Ownership document copy provision.
- Notarized seller statement.
- Warranty transfer fee.
- A limited warranty must be in effect at the time of transfer.
- Ownership can be transferred from private to private.
- The application must be submitted within 60 days of vehicle sale.
BMW New Cars Warranty Policy
A new BMW car warranty provides a "limited warranty " against material and workmanship defects and is covered for four years or 50,000 miles. If the car experiences an issue with the engine, transmission/transaxle, transfer case, or drivetrain then it will be covered by the "Powertrain Warranty" which is also part of the Factory warranty. In addition, coverage is provided for the Corrosion/Rust under "Corrosion/Rust Warranty" for 12 years and on unlimited miles.
Federal Emissions Warranty: The coverage is offered for the eight years or 80,000 miles if in case the car does not meet the "EPA emission requirements".
What is BMW Warranty no Cost Items?
The "Unlimited-Mileage Roadside Assistance" which includes 24/7 entire year support is offered with the factory warranty coverage. The support is offered for the first four years. The coverage also includes "BMW TeleService" in the vehicle which reports to the BMW when it finds any issue.

What is High-Voltage Lithium-Ion Battery Limited Warranty?
The coverage is offered for the BMW electric vehicles on "high-voltage lithium-ion batteries" against the defects in material and workmanship for the period of 8 years or 80,000 miles. In case of any faults found with the 530e or 530e, xDrive during the warranty period the BMW will get it repaired or replaced free of charge.
