The Thurman Adams State Service Center (formerly known as the Georgetown State Service Center) is a State government office responsible for providing various social and welfare services to citizens. Access to social programs and benefits is facilitated by this service center. The primary services administered by the social service center include the following:

Emergency Assistance

Short-term financial assistance is provided to low-income families to cover house rent, utility bills, and student tuition fees.

Food and Shelter

Food benefits and emergency shelter services are provided to prevent homelessness.

Social Security Benefits

Eligible clients receive social security benefits, and access to the Medicare program is facilitated through the service center.

Family and Child Support
