Oerc Ontario - OHIP Eligibility Review Committee
The OERC Ontario (OHIP Eligibility Review Committee) sets the eligibility criteria for accessing the Ontario health care plan. To qualify for OHIP, individuals must satisfy the following requirements:
1. Physically present in Ontario for a minimum of 153 days within a 12-month period.
2. Establish Ontario as the primary residence.
3. Complete at least 153 days within the first 183 days of residing in Ontario.
Additional Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for OHIP, individuals must also meet the following criteria:
1. Canadian citizenship is mandatory.
2. Indigenous persons must be registered under the federal Indian Act.
3. Permanent residency or landed immigrant status is required.
