St. Clair County Community College (SC4) operates multiple centers dedicated to enhancing academic excellence among students. The Writing Center offers comprehensive assistance to students at every stage of the writing process. Expert consultants are available at the center to guide students through their writing endeavors. Assistance from the Writing Center is accessible to students across all academic levels, and tutoring sessions with writing consultants can be scheduled online.

Setting Up a Writing Tutoring Session

Students with SC4 student accounts can arrange writing tutoring sessions and receive guidance from consultants. This service is facilitated through Microsoft Teams, requiring students to have a microphone and webcam attached to their computer or smartphone. To avail writing assistance online, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your SC4 Student account.
2. Click on the "schedule an online tutoring session" button.
3. Review the details of the service and the tutor by clicking on "i".
4. Select the tutorial service and set the session time.
5. Provide your name, email, and phone number to complete the personal information form.
6. Click on "Book" to schedule a writing tutorial session.
