The sale of games and tickets is conducted by the lottery association at reasonable rates. The revenue generated from lottery sales is utilized by the Commonwealth for K-12 education. • Thank A Teacher Campaign

  This service or program is designed to raise awareness about the Lottery's rules and regulations among teachers and students of public education centers across Virginia. Through this program, thank-you notes or quotes can be sent by the public to the service center for valued teachers or professors. Two teachers are encouraged annually by the service center, which nominates names for luxury vacations in collaboration with the Virginia PTA and the Virginia Tourism Corporation.



• Thank A Teacher Art Contest

  This art contest program is dedicated to the students of public K12 schools. Students are required to create thank-you notes or quotes for valued teachers in an artistic manner.



• Made in Virginia

  This program highlights highly educated individuals from Virginia who studied in public schools in the state. Every year, four people are selected from across the state and awarded by the Virginia Lottery.



• Making A Difference

  In this program, Lottery employees are given the opportunity to participate in volunteer programs. They can dedicate 32 hours per year to support public education, such as serving lunch to kids, etc.
